Preschoolers and Parents

Little Seeds Outdoor Toddler Group

Little Seeds Outdoor Toddler Group is back! We have 3 sessions on a Monday. Each session has an hour in the garden of Hunter House then moves into the church hall for a snack and a song time. The group is a good place for children to explore and develop and for families in the community to meet and get to know each other.

At Little Seeds we welcome children from throughout our community along with their parent, grandparent or carer. The group is run by fully trained childcare professionals and a lot of fun, learning and socialising takes place within a relaxed, safe and friendly environment. The group is primarily for children aged 0-3 although pre-school children are welcome to come along.

Places are limited and so we sometimes have a waiting list. If you would like to enquire about availability, please contact our Children and Families Worker, Mandy Trueman.

mainly music - returning soon!Mainly-Music-Logo-201605x

mainly music is a fun music group for parents to enjoy together with their baby or pre-schooler. Throughout the session, children develop gross and fine motor skills, language, imagination, mathematical and pre-reading skills as well as socialize with others. mainly music is run by our trained staff and volunteers.

Children are introduced to music, creativity and more, plus families are given a chance to think about the God-part of life. All of this is achieved in a loving, welcoming, family environment.

mainly music meets every Wednesday morning from 10am to 11.30am during term time. Places are limited and a waiting list is sometimes in place.

Our Children's and Families workers would love to get to know you and your family. If you would like to know more about the programmes we run for children or if you are interested in coming to church as a family, please do get in touch with either of our Children and Families Worker, Mandy Trueman or Linda MacKinnon

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a very warm welcome particularly from our Welcome Team who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go.

In our morning service, there will be around 45 minutes of worship with the whole Church family when there will be singing, prayer, and a children's message. At this point, the children will leave for their own Sunday Club. The Bible will then be read and one of our Pastors or leaders will preach from God's word. The service usually finishes around 12noon.

In our evening service, we usually spend about 20 minutes singing and praying before the Bible is read and preached. Our evening service usually finishes around 8pm.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are served after all of our services where there is plenty of time to meet new people and ask more questions.

What happens to the kids at church?

We have a fantastic programme for the kids at our Church. Children stay with their parents at the start of the service as we worship together for the first part of the morning. Someone will announce when the children need to go to their programme.

We have a very gifted team of Sunday Club teachers who lead a great curriculum for all ages. We have the following Sunday Club classes:

0-3 years:     Creche
3-5 years:     Pre-School Sunday Club
P1 - P7:        Sunday Club
S1 - S3:        Bible Class

For more information about our Sunday Club please visit our Sunday Club page.

Is there a dress code?

No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

Will I have to join in?

Not at all!
You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.
