Ignite Bible Conference 2017
500 YEARS IN THE MAKING
This year marks the 500 year anniversary of the Reformation, when on 31st Oct 1517 Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the door of the Wittenberg Castle Church. It perhaps wasn't as dramatic as it sounds, an acedemic document disputing the theology and practices of the Catholic Church placed on a sort of notice board to force the issue, however, what followed was immensely dramatic - Reformation!
This year, along with a great many other Protestant Churches, we are marking the 500 year anniversary of the Reformation with the annual Ignite Bible Conference. Our theme will be 'Standing on a Firm Foundation', focusing on the 5 Solas of the Reformation, aiming to demonstrate why they are still foundational and essential today. We are glad to be joined by main speaker Liam Garvie of Charlotte Chapel in Edinburgh.
The conference will be held on Saturday 4th November at Calderwood Baptist Church & Hunter House from 9:30am to 4pm. Tickets are £5 and can be purchased by following the link below, or from Hunter House Coffee Shop.
Last Year's Conference...
We thoroughly enjoyed a fantastic day of teaching at Calderwood Baptist Church as we welcomed Rev Dr Sandy Roger and Rev John Van Eyk to speak to us and unpack God's word for us. There were three sessions throughout the day with seminars from Rev John MacKinnon and our Children and Families Worker Mandy Trueman. If you didn't make it along you can listen to all three teaching sessions below or if you did come along then you can enjoy all that was said again:
